There are several advantages to playing indoor disc golf. Let’s find out what they are:

The first advantage of indoor disc golf is the fact that you can play them even during off season. Most indoor disc golf events are held during winter and off-season, which is perfect if you still want to practice.
2. No External Disturbances
When playing disc golf indoors, you don’t have to worry about external factors such as rain, wind, or snow. You can play as you would on a normal summer day, and your disc will fly the way it is supposed to.

Things to Note When Playing Indoor
Indoor disc golf may have its own benefits, but there are things you need to pay attention to when playing it.
1. Putters Only
Due to the limited space, most indoor disc golf areas only allow putters to be played inside. If you need to practice your putting, this is perfect. But, if you prefer to play with a mid-ranger or driver, indoor disc golf may not be for you.
2. Pricier Than Outdoor Disc Golf
The next thing you need to keep in mind is the price. While it is still affordable, indoor disc golf will require you to pay a higher amount for the ticket compared to outdoor. You need to prepare at least $10 if you want to play for one round.
It’s reasonable since they need to maintain the place, but make sure you are okay with it before you decide to get a ticket.
3. Limited Experience
Because of the limited space, you are also limited in terms of the techniques you can use. Drivers are off-limits, which means you cannot play for distance. Some shots require the cooperation of the wind to work, so these shots are also off-limits.
While there are limitations to what you can do in an indoor area, it is still better than nothing. You can use indoor disc golf as a temporary substitute for outdoor disc golf until the weather or season is manageable for you.
Can You Create Your Own Indoor Disc Golf Course?
The answer is yes. If you have the space and budget, you can create your own indoor disc golf course.
To start with, you need at least ten meters of space that can be converted into an indoor disc golf area. The budget really depends on the layout you want to make. But, to start with, you need to have a disc golf basket to be used as a target and a tee pad.
Everything else can be adjusted accordingly. Just like the formal indoor disc golf course, chances are you can only do putts here. But it’s still a great method to practice your accuracy.
